Harborwalk Yacht Club is pleased to announce the opening of the Yacht Club Swim Center within the gated community. Construction is complete and the pools opened in May 2007.
The site, overlooking the marina slips between the Marina office and the Yacht Club restaurant, covers 1.22 acres. The area includes various swim pools, a tiki bar serving ice cold refreshments and food, and an open area for gatherings and events. All pools are heated and salt water. Salt water pools contain a very low level of salt, resulting in softer, smoother water which is not as hard on the skin.
Yacht Club Members have access to the swim center through a main entrance off Harborwalk Blvd as well as near the tiki bar. The central pool is the Family Pool Area, complete with a "beachfront," made from stone or tile, and landscaped island.
To one side is an Adult Pool, which includes swim lanes for guests wanting to swim laps. Next to the adult pool is a spa/hot tub for relaxing tired muscles after a long swim or a hard day of fishing. To the opposite side is a children's pool and play area. This area has a very shallow children's pool area with beach, plus exciting water features for kids to play in while parents relax on the sidelines. Around each of the mentioned pool areas, deck chairs and chaise lounge chairs are conveniently situated for your enjoyment. Tables and chairs are also be placed around the pool common areas.
The swim center is fully landscaped throughout, giving each individual pool area more of a private feel. A fence has been built around the area. Harborwalk Yacht Club has met it's goal of opening the swim center for the upcoming pool season, and is now welcoming Harborwalk Yacht Club members and their guests.
